"The non-seller" / Interior Illustration Photoshop December 2006

Hi all,
this is an illustration for the short story "The non-seller" ("Der Ladenhüter") that will be published in an upcoming SF/Fantasy magazine. My approach to this painting was a bit different than usual as i chose to build a very rough 3d blockmodel to aid me with the difficult wide angle 3 point perspective. If i'm honest, it was tricky anyway in some parts because i changed the layout in some places later. The rough model was then used as a guide in Photoshop. Well, that's pretty much it, otherwise i've not used any photoelements, everything is handpainted, mostly with 4-5 custombrushes. Adding all those little details was a hell lot of fun, that's why i'd like to show you some of them up close below. I hop you like the painting and take the time to comment and/or crit. Thanks.
