Falls Funeral - Environment

Hi all,
i'm glad that i finished this piece just in time for submission to the Digital Art Masters Book, it hopefully gets in there. I painted it while having a bad cold, that wasn't a lot of fun occassionally, but most of the time it was. This image is somehow a further exploration of my Falls Environment Concept i painted some time ago, i really wanted to show the scene from a different point of view. The people living there do believe that the deep falls are the gate to another world, that's why they honour reputable persons with a special monthly funeral ceremony where their corpses are send down the river and the fall in burning coffins. It is a pretty wealthy folk, so i've decided on a very detailed architecture with elements of precious materials like gold or copper. All handpainted in Photoshop CS2, no photo elements.
Well, that's all, i hope you like it and comment on it. On the other hand i'm always open for critique, too.
Thanks for looking.

"The non-seller" / Interior Illustration

Hi all,
this is an illustration for the short story "The non-seller" ("Der Ladenhüter") that will be published in an upcoming SF/Fantasy magazine. My approach to this painting was a bit different than usual as i chose to build a very rough 3d blockmodel to aid me with the difficult wide angle 3 point perspective. If i'm honest, it was tricky anyway in some parts because i changed the layout in some places later. The rough model was then used as a guide in Photoshop. Well, that's pretty much it, otherwise i've not used any photoelements, everything is handpainted, mostly with 4-5 custombrushes. Adding all those little details was a hell lot of fun, that's why i'd like to show you some of them up close below. I hop you like the painting and take the time to comment and/or crit. Thanks.

i got a bit bored of all those low light, dusk, dawn lighting themes i've used in recent paintings, so i decided to get my hands on a day scene. I have chosen a mountain scenery in mid autumn, and somehow had these 1950-60s postcards in mind while painting it. Don't know if you know these though. They had a certain colour to them because they were selectively handcoloured photographs. Well, whatever, as always PS CS2 with my wacom. I hope you like it and tell me if you do so or if you don't, thanks a lot.
This nice little fellow is the ruler of a mystic forest and you are about to be judged by him. Took about 10 hours in Photoshop CS2 with my lovely Wacom Intuos2 which is slowly breaking apart, got to wait for that Intuos4. So i hope you like the painting and tell me what you think about it, be it positive or negative, doesn't matter. Thanks guys and gals.
